A
generous supply of most, though not all, back issues of the I.A.P.P.P.
Communications is on hand, waiting for I.A.P.P.P. members new and
old to fill in gaps and/or to back-fill. We encourage all of you
to take an inventory of your personal collection and consider ordering
back issues as needed. This message is addressed to individual members
and to institutional libraries alike.
The
"generous supply" pertains to all issues starting with no. 19 (March
1985) and extending up to the present, with one exception. Somewhere
along the way our supply of issue no. 34 (December 1988) has been
lost.
There
was a time when I.A.P.P.P. was advertising back issues available
at $5.00 per copy. Then, on the inside front cover of each issue,
we stopped specifying a price, though we remember charging $6.00
per copy after the annual subscription price increased from $15.00
to $25.00 per year, starting with issue no. 44 (June 1991). The
rationale was that 4 x $6.00 = $24.00, approximating the $25.00
annual subscription price.
Now
I.A.P.P.P. is offering back issues at half that price, namely, $3.00
per copy, although we need to add $0.50 per copy for postage, since
we cannot use the economical non-profit bulk rate for domestic mailing
and since overseas mailing is so expensive.
The
smoothest procedure for ordering back issues is to:
mail
a check payable to "I.A.P.P.P." to:
Dr.
Douglas S. Hall
4229 Franklin Road
Nashville, Tennessee 37204
(615) 383-4630
for
the amount equal to $3.50 times the number of copies you are ordering,
indicate clearly which issues, by issue number, you need, and include
your exact up-to-date mailing address.
In the unlikely event that our supply of some
issues has become exhausted in the meantime,
we will enclose a $3.50 check for each issue we do not have.
